Rasoolnuma Shah Mohammed Baghdadi on Ashraf Ali Thanvi The below incident has been noted by many historians and scholars of Deccan. It can also be found in one of 'Allama Arshad al Qadiri's (rahimah Allah) Book. During the Grand Shaykh's initial days in India(Hyderabad), the 'ulama of Deoband would meet and greet him - especially Mulla Ashraf Ali Thanvi. At the time, the Grand Shaykh was not well acquainted with their devious beliefs because he was not versed in Urdu. He was from the noble city of Baghdad, so could only communicate in Arabic and Persian.Mulla Ashraf 'Ali Thanvi, upon meeting the Grand Shaykh, kissed his hand and invited him to his gathering near the historical Makkah Masjid in Hyderabad. There was a large presence and Mullas of deoband came personally to escort the Grand Shaykh to the Makkah Masjid. A large platform-stage was erected and Deobandi Mullas threw roses on the Grand Shaykh as he entered the venue. The Grand Shaykh took his seat and started listening to the lecture (although he could hardly understand what was being preached). As the gathering was in full swing, all of a sudden the Grand Shaykh rose from his seat and threw one of his blessed Sandals on Ashraf 'Ali thanvi who was delivering the lecture. The noble descendant of Sayyiduna 'Ali roared like Lion of Allah " You Scoundrel shut up, I can smell Kufr from your mouth" and thenthrew his second sandal towards Ashraf Ali Thanvi. The Grand Shaykh charged towards Ashraf Ali Thanvi to beat him. Before the Noble Sayyid could place his hand on the charlatan in religious garbs, Thanvi and his cronies made a swift exit from the gathering. Everyone was stunned with this incident.The Grand Shaykh went on stage and asked one of his disciples to bring him pen and paper, he wrote a Fatwa of Kufr on Ashraf Ali Thanvi there itself. Allah is the greatest.One of his disciple asked him "Dear Master, you do not know Urdu. I was listening to the lecture and did not find wrong in his speech."The Grand Shaykh replied: "I didn't understand his Urdu but I smelt Kufr from his mouth. You were hearing his voice, I was listening to his heart. All the words from his mouth had the stench of Kufr emanating from them."Note - The Grand Shaykh was not versed well in Urdu but with the grace of Allah 'Azza Wa Jalla he could recognise the ignorance, lies and deceit. This was from the Firasa Allah bestowed upon the noble Shaykh.On the same day, when the Grand Shaykh slept, he was honoured with the glorious sight of the best of all creation, our beloved master Muhammad Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam.The Grand Shaykh narrates that our beloved master Muhammad Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam asked him, " Oh Sayyid Muhammad al-Husayni! We are very pleased with you. Present us your request and it will be granted." The Grand Shaykh replied, "Oh my Master Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, I wish for a place near my mother Lady Fatima's (radi Allah 'anha) noble feet'Our beloved master Muhammad Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam smiled and replied: "Granted!"Allah is the Greatest!The Grand Shaykh was granted the blessing of being buried near the feet of Lady Fatima (Radi Allah 'Anha). 1 اقتباس Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
