"It is on the authority of Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) that the Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) is reported to have said,” If a person (Muslim) keeps fast for one day solely for the pleasure of Allah, then Almighty Allah will keep him such a vast distance away from hell, as if he started to fly from childhood until he became old. (In other words, this is how far away he would be kept from Jahanum, the distance covered in flying for all his life)

It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anhu) that the Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) was the most generous amongst all the people and his generosity was most evident in the month of Ramadaan, at the time when he used to meet with Jibraeel alaihis salaam, and he would meet with Jibraeel (alaihis salaam) on every night of Ramadaan and recite the Quran. When the Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) used to meet with Jibraeel (alaihis salaam), he used to be even more generous than excessive wind.”

The Ramadan nightly prayer has a special merit over other nights. The Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam said: "Whoever observes night prayer in Ramadan as an expression of his faith and to seek reward from Allah, his previous sins will be blotted out."

Abu Hurairah ( Radi Allahu anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah ( Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) said, "He who spends a pair in the way of Allah will be called from the gates of Jannah: `O slave of Allah! This gate is better for you' and one who is constant in Salat (prayer), will be called from the Gate of Salat; and whoever is eager in fighting in the Cause of Allah, will be called from the Gate of Jihad; and who is regular in observing Saum will be called from Ar-Raiyan Gate. The one who is generous in charity will be called from the Gate of Charity.''Hazrat Abu Bakr ( Radi Allahu anhu) said: "O Messenger of Allah ( Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam)! May my mother and father be sacrificed for you! Those who are called from these gates will stand in need of nothing. Will anybody be called from all of those gates?'' He Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam replied, "Yes, and I hope that you will be one of them.''

ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH

Allaah's Messenger , salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam, described the morning after Lailatul-Qadr, so that the Muslim may know which day it is. From Ubayy, radhiya Allahu 'anhu, who said: that he, salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam, said: "On the morning following Lailatui-Qadr the sun rises not having any rays, as if it were a brass dish, until it rises up."
