  1. Jazaakumullaahu Khayran Katheeraa. Syed_Muhammad_Ali bhai, can you or somebody else translate the pages you have provided into the English language, Inshaa'Allaah?
  2. Assalaamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuh. Can anyone provide information as to when, where and how Ala Hadhrat passed away? And if possible, with reference to the authentic Kutub of Taareekh, Inshaa'Allaah. Was-Salaam.
  3. Jazaakallaahu Khayran Katheeraa, bhai. A very wonderful Fatwaa. Was-Salaam.
  4. Assalaamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuh. Can one of the brothers provide an English translation for this Fatwaa given by Shah Turab-ul-Haqq Qadiri: http://www.alahazrat.net/askimam/content.php?id=1137 Even if they are unable to provide a full translation, then even a summary of what he is saying, i.e. is it permissible or not, will be appreciated, Inshaa'Allaah. Was-Salaam.
  5. Bhai, I have gone through it but it has not cleared up the confusion. Why would A`laa Hadhrat perform such an act (exposing the Satr) when this is absolutely Haraam? Is this story authentic? If it is, why would he do this, when there is no permissibility for such an act in the Sharee`ah? I hope you understand my question. The act is against Sharee`ah, that's why I doubt whether Maulana Ahmad Riza Khan actually did it. Perhaps this story and others like it were invented?

    Aik Sawaal

Assalaamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuh. Can any of the brothers here tell me whether I have written this correctly in Urdu: علم وہ نور ہے جسے حاصل کرنے کے بعد بغیر عمل کۓ چین نہ آیے۔ اگر یہ ہے تو وہ علم ہے ورنہ معلومات۔ اور معلومات کی قیامت کے دنپکڑ ہے، کہ جتنا حاصل کیا اس پہ کتنا عمل کیا I don't need a translation for this paragraph. I just want to know whether it is spelled correctly in Urdu or not.

    Translation Of These Urdu Paragraphs

Assalaamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuh. Can any of the brothers here assist me in translating these few Urdu paragraphs: Number 1: قرآن و غیرہ پر اجرت لینے کو جن متاخرین فقہا نے جا‏ئز قرار دیا ہے اس کی علت ایک ایسی دینی ضرورت ہے جس میں خلل آنے سے پورے دین کا نظام مختل ہو جاتا ہے، اس لۓ اس کو ایسی ہی ضرورت کے مواقع میں محدود رکھنا ضروری ہے ----------------------------------------------------------------- Number 2: وصول ثواب کے لۓ اس پر اول عامل کو ثواب ملنا شرط ہے اور ثواب ملنے کے لۓ ایمان شرط ہے پس غیر م‏ؤمن کے اس عمل یعنی اعطاء و انفاق کا ثواب نہیں پہنچ سکتا ----------------------------------------------------------------- If anyone here can provide me the English translation for these two paragraphs I will be very grateful, Inshaa'Allaah. Baarakallaahu Feekum.

    Are These Quotes True

Assalaamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuh. Is it true that Maulana Ahmad Riza Khan said the following things: ------------------------------ "When A`laa Hadhrat was only 5 years old, his mother used to dress him in a long Kurta and so he did not need a trouser. One day some women were passsing by and their faces were open so the young A`laa Hadhrat raised the front fold of his Kurta above his head. The women laughed and said "wah mia". The young A`laa Hadhrat promptly replied, "When the eye is deceived the heart naturally follows but when the heart is deceived disposition of ones genitals is seriously affected." [sawaanih A`laa Hadhrat, p.11] "I have myself seen in the village a girl who was 18 or 20 years old and whose mother was weak and infirm but had not stopped breast-feeding her daughter of 18 or 20 years old. The mother would do her best to stop her but she would force her mother down, climb onto her bosom and ###### milk from her breast." [Malfoozaat, vol.3, p.58] "The wives of the Ambiyaa (`Alayhimus Salaam) are presented to them in the Quboor, and they enjoy their wives therein." [Malfoozaat, vol.3, p.28] ------------------------------ Did he really write/say the above mentioned things?
  10. Assalaamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuh. Is there any English translation available for the Kitaab, "Jihaad kio aur kis liye", by Maulana Arshad al-Qadiri? If not, would it be possible for one of the brothers here to undertake a translation of this Kitaab, as it is only about 18 pages? Baarakallaahu Feekum.
  11. Assalaamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuh. What is the translation and meaning of this sentence in Urdu: "Allaah kaisa pyara Naam hai, Aashiqo ka meena aur jaam hai." (I'm not sure if it is spelled correctly.)

    Jihaad

Assalaamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuh. The members here are aware of the situation of the Muslims in Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Chechnya, Somalia, etc, of how the Muslims are being massacred by the Kuffaar. Should the Muslims not rise up in Jihaad? Should Muslims from around the world not travel to these countries to assist the oppressed Muslims there, by waging war against the Kaafir armies? Has the time not come for the Muslims to carry out the Fardh act of Jihaad? What are your opinions on this? Is the Jihaad already taking place in those countries a valid Jihaad? Are there any people from the Barelvi Maslak fighting in Jihaad anywhere in the world today? I am awaiting your responses.

    Icd - Jinn Related?

Assalaamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuh. I think most members here already know what is ICD (Impulse Control Disorder), but for those who don't: It is a mental illness (that is what is assumed) some people suffer from, in which they at random times get a sudden intense urge to either harm themselves or another person. They may see a person walking close to the edge of a cliff, so they suddenly get an intense urge to push the person off, for example, or stab somebody. They also get urges to inflict harm upon themselves, or commit suicide. Some such people may also get irrational urges to disgrace themselves by walking nude in public or other such vile acts. Furthermore, their urges intensify the more they give in to them. The members here in the medical profession can explain this better than me. My question is, could this perhaps be because the person is possessed or under the influence of Shaytaan? Contrary to just being a mental illness? I'm asking this question here because I know some people who might have this disease, so what advice should they be given? Inshaa'Allaah some of the senior members here might know some A`maal which may be performed, or Du`aas which may be recited to counter the disease, and bring their minds straight again. Baarakallaahu Feekum.
  17. Jee, I know the Kitaab is available to be downloaded in PDF form, but it's in Urdu only. Do you know of an English translation available?
  18. Insha'allahu Ta`ala. Would it be possible for one of the members here who know both Urdu and English, to post an Urdu lesson daily, or weekly, or whenever is convenient? I have seen some English Islamic forums do this, and one of the members (sometimes more) will post an Arabic lesson every week. They also have "Daily Arabic Words" topics, and members learn a lot of Arabic through this. If there were such topics for Urdu here, I think it would be very beneficial.
  19. Jazaakallah Khayr for the translation, I understand it now.

    Urdu Translation Request

Assalamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh. Can any of the brothers here translate this sentence into English for me (and give an explanation, if possible): "Ya Ghaus, sun keh tujhko foran bukhaar aaye." I have heard it many times, so I'm wondering if someone can translate it for me, Insha'Allah. Jazaakumullahu Khayra.

    Assalamu `alaykum

Assalamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh. I had joined this forum quite a while ago, but have only decided to post a short introduction now. I am a Hafiz of the Qur'aan (Alhamdulillah), and am currently studying to become an `Aalim. I'm in the fourth year of the `Aalim course, and have only two years left to complete. I speak English fluently, and as I am studying to become an `Aalim, can read/write speak/understand Arabic quite well too. My problem is with Urdu. Despite the fact that I am Indian by race, my knowledge of the Urdu language is very poor (I can read and write Urdu fluently, but am very weak in speaking and understanding Urdu). That is one of the reasons I joined this forum, so that I may Insha'Allahu Ta`ala improve my Urdu; as there are many great Kitaabs in Urdu, and many Sharhs (Commentaries) of classical Kitaabs in Urdu. For this reason it is important that I should know it well. That is all for my introduction. Jazaakumullahu Khayran.
  22. Jazaakumallah for the replies, but my question was not whether there are Indian `Ulama who follow the Barelvi Maslak and/or support it, but whether there are any Non-Indian `Ulama, like from America or Australia or Russia or China for example, who follow the Barelvi Maslak. I hope the question is clear, Inshaa'Allaah.
  23. Assalaamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh. Some people make an accusation, that the `Ulama-e-Bareilly, and the followers of the Barelvi Maslak as a whole, are racists. Only Indians are Barelvis. Therefore, they say, the Barelvis place emphasis only on Urdu, and all Barelvi run Madaaris teach only Urdu, and you will never find a non-Indian `Aalim who follows the Barelvi Maslak. So my question is this; that is there any truth in this claim, or is it a baseless accusation? And if it is false, then why do all those Madaaris teach only through Urdu? And lastly, was there ever a non-Indian `Aalim who followed the Barelvi Maslak? (P.S. I do not make this accusation, nor is my reason for posting this to argue with anyone. I just want to know if there is any truth in this or not.) Jazaakumullahu Khayran.
