Abu Habiba
As-Salaam alaikum, In his 'Maktubat Imam Rabbani of Mujaddid Alf Sani' detailing Letters of Sheikh Ahmad Sirhindi to various mureed and others of note, the Sheikh made a very incisive disclosure about he Soul that ''because the Soul is finer than everything [because it is lighter than hydrogen, which is the lightest form of matter, even lighter than an electron], because it is not even matter, it takes the state, shape and color of whatever it unites with. Because it forgot about itself, it forgot its knowledge of Allah Ta'ala, which it had formally when it was in its own world, in its own grade. It became ignorant and unaware. Like the nafs, it darkened with the darkness of ignorance. Sine Allah is very merciful, He sent Prophets, and through them, He called the Soul to Himself and commanded it not to follow, not to obey the nafs, which is its sweetheart and darling. If the soul, obeying this command, disobeys the nafs and turns its face away from it, it will be saved from perdition. Otherwise, if it does not raise its head as if it prefers to stay with the nafs and not leave the world, it will lose its way and its happiness.'' Alejandra Morales
Lately I’ve been trying to incorporate more voluntary prayers into my daily routine. I’ve heard that Duha prayer brings a lot of spiritual benefit, but I’m having trouble figuring out the correct time for it here in Lahore. Most apps just mention it vaguely, and I want to be accurate. Can anyone share how they determine the time for Duha prayers in this city
Діма Покровський
Great that you're exploring voluntary prayers! When I first looked into it, I also found conflicting info about Duha time in Lahore, especially since it starts after the sun has fully risen and ends before Dhuhr. The best way I found to track it is this site: https://namaz.day/nawafil/city/lahor — it gives you exact Nawafil prayer windows specific to Lahore, including Duha. Very helpful if you're trying to build a consistent routine.
